New York City has several delicious places, and food stops to check out. My Friend and I took a road trip to New York Manhattan, and while we explored the city, we stopped at these food spots along the way. All the restaurants and food spots below are number one on the list simply because they gave us what we needed and were delicious, fulfilling and heartwarming.
Here are Seven Delicious Spots to eat in New York City 2023:
We explored the night scene on our first night in New York City. We needed to eat because I had some weird sandwich at a Gas Station stop, and my Friend had chips. We needed a satisfying meal with a pleasant atmosphere to rest after our 8-hour drive. We were floating, exploring in tune to our heartbeats, and we stumbled on Sugar Factory, read the menu outside and went in.
I was mentally preparing myself for the restaurant to be made of sugar, ready to have a sweet experience.
The first thing we both did was order one of the 40 oz sugar attack cocktails that was popular and known for the Sugar Factory.
I grabbed the Peachy Punch, designed and tasted by Mark Wahlberg💖 and Bruno Mars. – Unfortunately, Sugar Factory spelled Wahlbergs name wrong, but I’m sure the man doesn’t mind 😏.
I ordered the Vegetarian Fajitas, and my Friend ordered Chicken Fajitas. We were halfway through our Cocktails; thus, the meals tasted quite delicious then. However, the fajitas are slightly too salty, but I tend to cook my meals with little to no salt, so to each their own.
Nonetheless, I recommend Sugar Factory as what made the experience was not so much the food or the drinks but the kind waiter, Steven, who ensured we were treated like VIPs throughout the night.
2. Starbucks
Ah, Starbucks, devil’s coffee, how I love you. You can find a Starbucks at every corner in Manhattan, New York.
We drank a lot of Starbucks coffee on our trip, and it was quite the savior the following morning after our 40 oz cocktails drinks. I don’t drink alcohol often, as I am the pretty healthy type, and thus when I do, I feel it the next day. However, Starbucks always knows how to take away my hangover and fill my soul with delicious caffeine and mental stimulant to excite me for the rest of our New York Weekend trip.
3. Fresh Smoothie Vegetable Juice Stand
To my surprise, several Fresh Smoothie Vegetable Juice stands were at every corner of New York. This street food feature made me happy because I typically like to start my day at home with a Fruit and Freshley Squeezed Vegetable Juice. So, to stumble upon something so enriching after my Starbucks Coffee made me happy. I ordered a blend of carrot, beet juice blended with spinach, mangos, strawberries, and bananas. It was a fantastic combo, and I recommend you try out one of these Smoothie stands if you get the chance to visit New York City.
Now I am not too keen on getting Pizza, as I avoid dairy at all costs. There are many reasons for this, and if you want to pick my brain about it, feel free to reach out.
Nonetheless, my Friend was craving Pizza, and we stumbled upon the Gourmet Pizza Previti place right by our hotel, Pod 39.
The green broccoli pulled me into the vegetarian Pizza with many toppings on it, and I convinced myself that a New York Pizza Stop was an excellent call to try something at least once and pretend to be a New Yorker.
With an enzyme supplement to accompany my Pizza, I recommend this place to pizza lovers in New York, as I enjoyed my Pizza and felt great after.
5. Avocaderia
We were soaking wet as we walked around New York on a rainy day, visiting several places and trying to soak in as much New York as possible for the three days we were there. I was becoming hungry and needed to eat something delicious and healthy.
We stumbled upon Avocaderia, and the high-quality ingredients on their menu pulled me into the Chicken, Mushroom and Kale salad. They also had homemade vegetable soup, which I enjoyed at the place. I took the salad to go and ate it at the hotel. The lady filled it with several vegetable toppings, avocado and whole-grain rice tossed in a vegan dressing.
I wish they had Avocaderia in Ottawa, as I would go to this place ritually, as it accurately accompanied my food preferences.
6. Pink Taco
Highly recommended spot! The Second full day in New York City was sunny, and we explored as much as possible. Unfortunately, we forgot to eat and did not realize it was 4 pm as we stumbled on Pink Taco.
We ordered homemade guacamole, a Divine appetizer, and my Friend ordered Tacos and I the Burrito. I asked the waitress to opt out of the Jack Cheese, as I told her that I had a dream the night before that there were dead cows with blood in Milk pouches that I was holding in my hand. The waitress agreed that Dreams were like visions and treated my request like an allergy. – lol 🤣
The Burrito was Full and delicious, hitting the spot, satisfying my hunger levels, and we both agreed that this was an optimal spot to eat.
7. Playa Bowls (Greenwich Village)
It was 9 pm, And I was getting hungry. Our day of eating could have been more consistent; thus, I needed a late-night snack. We were already at our hotel, so I caved and ordered Uber Eats. Playa bowls in Greenwich Village seemed perfect, as I was craving a snack. I ordered the Pacific Green Bowl, a smoothie bowl blended with Kale, Mangos, and other fruit. Topped with Granola and banana, strawberries, and chia seeds, it was a fantastic late-night snack, and I am sure I’d eat there in person if I ever get the chance again.
